The perfect blow out starts with choosing the proper shampoo and conditioner for your haircare needs. Work the shampoo from scalp to ends, going in a downward motion. You should massage your scalp thoroughly and run your fingers through the ends of your hair to avoid tangling and damage.
PREP
After shampooing and conditioning, it is time to prep the hair. One of my favorite products to prep hair with is Kevin Murphy Staying Alive. Staying Alive is a leave-in conditioner that is great for detangling, moisturizing, and static control. Spray this product into your wet hair.
PRIME
After prepping the hair, I like to prime it with Kevin Murphy Anti Gravity before styling. It is an oil-free volumizer. It sets the hair before finish work. Apply to damp hair before blowdrying. It will leave your hair feeling fresh and full without feeling any product in your hair. Depending on your hair length and thickness, apply a small amount of product - about the size of a dime to the size of a nickel.
FINISH
I recommend using Kevin Murphy Hair Resort Spray after blow drying the hair for a beachy finish. You can curl some pieces of your hair and spray this product to create loose curls. Kevin Murphy Doo Over is the last product I use to create the perfect blow out. It is a finishing spray that give the hair texture and hold without a sticky feel.
